Dell offer for EMC worth at least $30/shr, could be next week — sources

Dell's takeover offer for EMC is worth at least $30 per share, sources familiar with the offer told CNBC.

The deal could come as soon as early next week, the sources said.

Dell would maintain control of VMWare in any such deal.

Earlier this week, sources had said at least $40 billion in financing would be needed for a deal. Sources indicated Friday that Dell was still finalizing its financing.

EMC shares last traded at $27.27, up 10 percent over the last week.
